Our Mission

Here at Insight Education Academy, our mission is to provide strategies grounded in research, shared with compassion, and tailored to your unique journey.

While Amanda is not a doctor or psychologist, she is a
seasoned educator and an experienced mom of a blended family who understands the challenges of  parenting.

Because what you really want to know...

Amanda and her family live in Jacksonville, Florida, but her roots are in the Midwest. She stayed in Jacksonville to pursue her undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Science Education (Grades 6–12), which she earned from the University of North Florida.

She obtained her National Board Certification in Adolescent History and Social Studies in 2008 and successfully renewed it in 2018. Her graduate work focused on exceptional student education and gifted education at the University of Central Florida. In addition to her Master’s in Education, she earned a certification in Instructional Design from UCF.

During her 22-year tenure in public schools, she taught a wide variety of advanced history and social science courses. In the last three years of her time in the public system, she served as the case manager and service provider for students who are gifted and/or have exceptional needs.

In 2024, Amanda ventured into the field of virtual education. She currently holds teaching certifications in social science and special education in Florida, New Jersey, and New Mexico, along with gifted and reading endorsements in those same states.

She and her husband met the old-fashioned way—by both swiping right. After their COVID wedding in 2020, they spent the first part of their honeymoon phase renovating a home in the historic area of Jacksonville.

They are in the thick of raising four boys, aged 15, 13, 12, and 9, who recently decided their parents would enjoy another renovation project—starting over in the already renovated bathroom the boys share. When they are not driving their kids from one activity to the next, they enjoy traveling, watching football, and indulging in reality game and dating shows. They are both proud Disney Adults who plan their next trip while still in line for their favorite attractions. In addition to the boys, they have three cats, three fish, and a two-year-old golden retriever.

Hopefully, that saved you some search time!
